22th March 2025Hey there, creative souls! Welcome back to my blog.
Today, I want to share a special part of my college days—my time playing Valorant. This was one of the best periods of my life because it was when I truly explored the world of PC gaming. Before that, I used to play games on my phone, but getting my own laptop opened up a whole new experience for me.
When I first started playing, I had no clue about the controls—using Q, E, C for abilities felt so confusing. I would literally look down at my keyboard every time I had to use an ability, while my friends were already pros at the game. They were (and still are) amazing players. Back then, we were so into Valorant that we even streamed our gameplay on YouTube! I wasn’t really into streaming myself, but I loved playing with my friends.
During that time, we had just started learning graphic design, and one of my friends (the same one I used to stream with) had a YouTube channel. He asked me to make thumbnails for his videos, and that’s how I got into designing gaming thumbnails. You can even spot me in some of our live streams!
One unforgettable moment happened during an unrated match when I was still a beginner. I usually played Sage, but that day, my friends told me to pick Jett. The problem? I had absolutely no idea how to use Jett’s abilities!
At one point, I was the last player alive, and I completely panicked. I had my ultimate ability ready, and my friends started messing with me, saying,
"Agar tu Right-click karegi toh player revive ho jayega!"
(Translation: "If you Right-click, the player will be revived!")
Of course, I believed them… and I left-clicked. 😭
It was so embarrassing, but honestly, those were some of the best moments—the teasing, the laughter, and the fun we had together.
During that period, I created a lot of thumbnails and montages for my friend’s YouTube channel. That was also the time we were first introduced to video editing software, and I really enjoyed experimenting with it.
Here are some of the thumbnails I made back in June 2021:
And here’s a link to the montage I created:
Looking back, those days were truly special. Valorant wasn’t just a game—it was an experience that connected me with my friends and introduced me to new creative skills.
That’s all for today’s blog! Have you ever had a funny or embarrassing moment in a game? Let me know in the comments!
See you in the next one.
